I have been struggling to write the last two days but just so you know, I never stopped reading. The enemy is strong. Even in sly things like this, I believe that he finds ways so we can lose our focus, timing and commitment to read the bible and meditate. Then again, he is but a dust compared to our God, the prince of the power of the air can never win over a Christian who has surrendered his life and allowed the Lord to be in complete control. :)
Chapter 2 and half of chapter 3 center on the life of a Christian and the unity of believers in Christ and the second half of chapter 3 conceptualizes the fullness of God's church.
Reading Ephesians 3:17-19 makes me wonder how vast God's love is. I tried so many times to describe His love in one adjective but no matter what I do, a single word can never be sufficient. God's love remains immeasurable.
...And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge —that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
See how apostle Paul actually put it? "His love surpasses knowledge" but as people called by God to spread His love to those who have not discovered it yet, we are given the "power to grasp" it. Don't you think this is such a great provilege for us - again? First, He called us His sons and heirs and now we are able to discern how much the Father and the Son actually love us! This is the "measure of the fullness of the church".
